"We are moving soon, please can you tell me how much it will be?"

The short answer to that question is no.

There are many factors that go into providing a correct removal quotation, and it is not just for our benefit, but yours too. After all, we do not want to under charge, and we are sure you do not want us to over charge!

During the period of the credit crunch (mid/late 2008) many people think we are suffering as well as the housing market. However this is not strictly true and actually can be opposite, as people move between rentals, storage and of course those who capitalise on the down turn of the market. When making a choice of remover, consider these points and ask yourself some questions:

• How much money do I spend on solicitors fees, conveyances, estate agency?
• Who has the hardest, riskiest, stressful yet minimal paid job in the house moving process?
• Who can we trust to move us properly and have the right amount of experience?
• Who will move us within the law, within time constraints, and with the correct legal terms?
• We need a company who understand the removal process, understand what can go wrong and what to do to put it right, sometimes with very short notice...
• Do we need as stress free as possible a removal, by professionals with the right attitude, experience and equipment?
• Why do we pay thousands of pounds to the legal people in the removal process yet quibble over a few hundred quid on having our entire living possessions moved!!

The best way to ensure a correct quotation is obtained is to have a representative call, which can be day or early evening if you work. This is to speak with you, talk through what it is you require, gain an inventory of your house contents and generally see what is involved. The information we gain can be:

• The size and shape of the furniture you have in your home
• How many contents you actually have, enabling us to provide the right vehicle or vehicles and the right number of staff
• The access to your home, will the truck fit up the road or on the drive, or will it be a multiple smaller van requirement
• Where are we taking it to?
• How many steps or stairs are involved - do we need an extra man on the job?
• Are you packing, or are we?
• The awkward stuff, for example the garden and shed contents
• Advice - it comes for free, maybe we can think of something you have forgotten

Basically the list goes on, but we are sure you see where we are coming from. Every move is unique, your move is unique, and the cost can differ, sometimes dramatically.

Every move has its own different aspects that add to the mix of gaining the quote. We can take online rough provision of contents and details and we are working on adding this to our site soon. Cost will be relative to what we are being asked to do - you do not pay for anything extra...

We can move people across Europe, Ireland, France, Spain, Portugal, you name it, prices differ quite a bit due to amounts, when and where etc, if we can combine a load, we will, and guarantee to save you money!

We accept cash, cheques and most major credit and debit cards, however there is a small charge for credit cards to cover costs only, debit cards are free.
